What to Expect

With over a decade of photography workshop experience, I strive to provide an exceptional and safe learning environment for every participant. Your safety is a top priority, I hold first-aid qualifications and, as a retired Search and Rescue volunteer, I have a deep understanding of outdoor safety. My goal is to ensure you feel comfortable with your camera while exploring advanced photography techniques in a supportive setting.

If you have any questions or need help choosing the right workshop, feel free to reach out before booking—I’m happy to help!

Booking Information

Your booking is confirmed once payment or a deposit is processed through the checkout system or manually processed via bacs and email correspondence.

  • For one-day workshops, experiences and 1-2-1 sessions, you’ll receive an automated confirmation email upon competition at the checkout, followed by another email 2-3 days before the workshop with the starting location and details.

  • For multi-day workshops, you’ll also be invited to join a WhatsApp group where further details will be shared.

  • If you don’t see your confirmation email, please check your spam folder.

Deposits

To secure your spot with a small deposit, you can either select a deposit option on the event listing or reach out via email or message to arrange it. The remaining balance is due 28 days before the workshop start date.

Twin Room Discounts

On select trips, I offer a limited number of twin rooms at a discounted rate for those booking together. This is ideal for friends or pairs travelling together, helping to keep costs lower. Group sizes remain small to ensure a high-quality experience, so twin-room discounts are limited.

Minimum Age Requirement

Unless stated otherwise, the minimum age for attendees is 18 on the workshop start date. Anyone under 18 must be accompanied by a legal guardian, who must also be a paying participant.

Dietary Requirements

If you have any specific dietary needs, please let me know when booking, and I’ll do my best to accommodate them.

Workshop Plans & Weather Considerations

While workshops are carefully planned, the unpredictable British weather sometimes requires adjustments for safety reasons. In rare cases, we may need to seek shelter indoors to protect both ourselves and our camera gear.

Insurance & Liability

Participants attend at their own risk. While every effort is made to ensure safety, Dibs Photography cannot be held responsible for personal injury or damage to property.

I strongly recommend that attendees take out travel, holiday, or public liability insurance to cover injuries, theft, or cancellations.

Cancellation Policy

  • More than 4 weeks before the event → Full refund (minus any admin fees).

  • 4 to 2 weeks before the event → 50% refund, or a full refund if your spot is filled.

  • Within 2 weeks of the event → Refund only if your spot is filled.

If I need to cancel a workshop due to severe weather or low enrollment, you will receive a full refund or the option to transfer to another workshop.

Please note: I am unable to cover any travel, accommodation, or booked leave costs due to cancelled workshops.
